RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The ¿Qué Pasa? Festival took place Saturday at Brown’s Island in Richmond, celebrating Hispanic and Latin American culture and cuisine.

The ¿Qué Pasa? Festival took place from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 4 at Brown’s Island with live entertainment, vendors, food and a kid’s area.

The event featured a variety of entertainment, including performances from the Latin Ballet of Virginia and the Panamanian Traditional Dance Group. Attendees were able to indulge themselves in more than 120 vendors offering authentic Latin American food.

Carlos Hernandez said it was his second time attending the ¿Qué Pasa? Festival.

“It’s a great opportunity to see the Hispanic community all together in the same place, to see different businesses the Hispanic community has, and connect with them,” Hernandez said.

Hernandez said the food, music and the connection he gets with familiar people are his favorite parts of the ¿Qué Pasa? Festival.
