Art & Language Festival Celebrates Its 10th Year With Multi-Cultural Dance & Song Performances At Copernicus Center In Chicago On May 12
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The festival is not only an expression of song and dance from students and adults of all cultures, but an opportunity to come together to embrace our diversity and create something beautiful together.

The Art & Language Festival celebrates its 10th year of bringing together students and adults from cultures around the world in a choreographed display of Art and Language expression at the Copernicus Center in Chicago on May 12 from 12 pm to 4 pm CST.

The program, held from 1 pm to 4 pm in the theatre, is comprised of performances by talented students performing Turkish, Spanish, French and English song; and Turkish and Hispanic folk dances. Four of the students chosen to compete in the festival, Makaya De`Jarnette from Michigan Math & Science Academy; Patrick Webster from Horizon Science Academy-Cleveland High; and Geraldine Benitez and Ulises Carmona from Horizon Science Academy-McKinley Park were also invited to perform at the International Festival of Language and Culture in Washington, D.C. this week.

The event also features guest performances by Turkish, Vietnamese, Hispanic, Polish, Kyrgyz, African and Bosnian performers of song and dance, as well as a special Korean Drumming Soribeat performance by the Global Pungmul Institute.

"It is a great honor and pleasure to celebrate our 10th Art and Language Festival with exceptionally talented musicians, performers and dancers at the Copernicus Center. The festival is not only an expression of song and dance from students and adults of all cultures, but an opportunity to come together to embrace our diversity and create something beautiful together," said Ihsan Ozulas, Founder of Art & Language Festival.

This event will also feature cultural exhibitions representing countries around the world including Nigeria, Philippines, Turkey, China, Japan, Dominican Republic, Mexico and many more sponsored by the Concept Young Scholar Program (CYSP) from 12 pm to 1 pm in the auditorium. The festival will include fun, interactive and free booths featuring Green Screen photo booth, Calligraphy, Henna tattoos, free food samples and Art Exhibits.

Food, refreshments and a bake sale will be available for purchase from 12 pm to 1 pm.
The event is FREE to the public, register today at the CopernicusCenter.org.
To support this program, donations are accepted. All donations made to the Art & Language Festival are tax-deductible. Art & Language Festival is part of Concept Schools, NFP, a 501(c)(3) organization.

About Art & Language Festival
The Art & Language Festival is a not-for-profit event that was developed to celebrate all cultures and to promote diversity through a display of art and language expression including song and dance. The event began as an Art and Language Contest for Concept School students in the Midwest in 2008, and has since expanded into an annual regional festival called the Art and Language Festival open to all students in grades K-12.

About CYSP
The Concept Young Scholars Program (CYSP) is a multifaceted program that is designed to prepare students in the 5th to 12th grade in all Concept schools to become well-rounded individuals by actively following their interests, diversifying their experiences and getting more education. Students who commit to CYSP program will be engaged in a systematic process that guides, recognizes, and rewards their progress.
