Deadline nears for Volusia Hispanic Chamber awards

Monday, Nov. 20 is the deadline to nominate candidates for the Columbus Caravel Awards, presented annually by the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to honor the area’s best in Hispanic companies, business professionals and community service.

Awards will celebrate the elite in the following categories: Hispanic Business of the Year; Hispanic Professional of the Year; and Hispanic Community Excellence Award. Nominations may be submitted online at volusiachamber.org, but must be received by Monday's deadline.

The Columbus Caravel Awards will be presented at a banquet at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at DeBary Golf & Country Club, 300 Plantation Club Drive, DeBary. Tickets for the event are $75 and there are still sponsorship opportunities available. Visit volusiachamber.org for details.
