MENTAL HEALTH FIRST. WELL, TODAY IS CINCO DE MAYO AND ACROSS THE METRO, MANY ARE CELEBRATING THE HOLIDAY, INCLUDING DOWNTOWN AT SCISSORTAIL PARK. THE HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS HOSTING THIS CINCO DE MAYO FESTIVAL. THERE ARE SEVERAL VENDORS, INCLUDING SOME SMALL FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES. WE SPOKE TO ONE OF THOSE VENDORS, HER BOOTH IS FULL OF FLORAL DESIGNS MADE WITH FRENCH INGREDIENTS THAT SHE MADE BY HAND. SHE IS VERY EXCITED ABOUT HAVING AN OPPORTUNITY LIKE THIS BECAUSE IT GIVES HER AND MANY OTHERS THE ABILITY TO SHARE THEIR TALENTS FROM THEIR CULTURE WITH ME. One of the vendors smiled as she talked about having the opportunity to be at the festival, which gives her and many others the chance to share their talents and their culture. "She wants community to know that our community is so diverse. It extends so much further than that we normally know, like the food and dancing, right? We’re clearly very talented and just celebrating," a translator for Isabelle Rodriguez Manualidades Isa, who is one of the vendors, said. One of the vendors smiled as she talked about having the opportunity to be at the festival, which gives her and many others the chance to share their talents and their culture.
