LYNDHURST, NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES, May 16, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (SHCCNJ) announces the election of two executive officers to its Board of Directors. Two Latina board members, Claribel Cortes, and Myriam Cruz were voted as Vice Chair and Secretary to the Board respectively. As the SHCCNJ celebrates its 30th anniversary, its board is hoping to report even more successes from their renewed commitment to the core of the Chamber’s mission, which is promoting the continued growth and development of New Jersey businesses and representing the diversity that those businesses bring to the table.

“It is an honor and a privilege to collaborate alongside so many talented leaders who are working towards making an impact within our community and creating multigenerational change. I look forward to working with our members, executive board, and organizations throughout the State in assisting us in bringing equity and resources to small businesses,” indicated Claribel Cortes, new Vice Chair.

“Small businesses are the center of the US economy. I work with them daily, and it is an honor to be part of an organization that supports the growth of the core of the state’s economic success,” added Myriam Cruz, new Secretary to the Board.

Both Claribel and Myriam are working on launching the first ever “Latina Mastermind Group” in the Chamber’s history. They expect to launch this group by the beginning of Summer 2019.

“As we knock on the doors of NJ’s corporations demanding fair representation on their procurement spending, C-suite and boardroom composition, it is important that WE are also inclusive on our board of directors and our Board Executive Committee.” indicated Carlos Medina, President & CEO.

“I am proud to represent an organization that leads by example. Claribel and Myriam are true examples of hard work, innovative ideas, and leadership; qualities that embody what the Hispanic small business community is about,” finalized Luis De La Hoz, Chairman.
